Robben Island Museum invites applicants to apply for Maritime Apprenticeship Programme 2021.

Apprenticeship Application Closing Date: 10 January 2021

Apprenticeship Location: Cape Town, Western Cape

Maritime Apprenticeship Deck Programme x4

Stipend: R70 715.00 per annum
Period: 24-36months (Subject to training and outcome of assessments)

Minimum requirements:

  • SAMSA eye test;
  • Curriculum Vitae with covering letter;
  • Certified copy of your South African ID;
  • Good health;
  • Copy of your Matric results;
  • ND Maritime Studies Deck cadets who successfully completed S1,S2,S3 & S4;
  • Copy of your S1,S2,S3and S4 results to be provided;
  • Preference will be given to unemployed South African citizens.

Maritime Apprenticeship Engineering Programme x 6

Stipend: R70 715.00 per annum
Period: 24-60months (Subject to training and outcome of assessments)

Experience, Technical skills & Core Competencies:

  • Curriculum Vitae with covering letter;
  • Certified copy of your South African ID;
  • Good health;
  • Copy of your Matric results;
  • Minimum of all S3 subjects in Marine Engineering(preference maybe given to candidates who completed the National Diploma: Marine Engineering) Copy of final results to be provided.
  • Preference will be given to unemployed and people with previous seagoing experience.
  • Fluent in English, written and oral;
